The West Highland Way Race, one of Scotland's premier ultra-marathon events since its inception in 1985, invites runners to experience the breathtaking landscapes and challenging terrain that span from Milngavie north of Glasgow to Fort William. This iconic race covers a distance of 96 miles along the scenic West Highland Way trail.
With an entry limit of just 300 participants each year, this event fosters a close-knit community among runners while ensuring a manageable and supportive atmosphere throughout the challenging course. The race begins at Milngavie Railway Station on Saturday, June 19th, starting promptly at midnight, with competitors required to complete their journey no later than noon the following day—a time limit of 35 hours.
