Vserossiyskoe begovoe sobytie «Arkticheskiy marafon - 2027»

On July 3, 2027, the Arctic Marathon returns to Vorkutinskaya Square in Vorkuta, Russia's easternmost city north of the Arctic Circle. This unique race offers distances ranging from a full marathon (42.2 km) and half-marathon (21.1 km), to shorter options like 10 km and 3 km runs, alongside a fun kids' dash at 600 meters.
The course weaves through breathtaking landscapes, including the endless tundra where runners will be treated to stunning views of the Polar Urals. A significant highlight is passing by the "Vorkuta - 67 Parallel" monument, symbolizing this Arctic city's unique northern location and a key feature for race branding and souvenirs.
Participants receive a comprehensive start package including a number bib, t-shirt, poncho, and backpack, while post-race refreshments are provided at the finish line. The event also features family activities like an interactive cultural program and children’s play area.
The Arctic Marathon aims to attract around 1000 runners from across Russia, promoting healthy living and active recreation in extreme northern settings. Runners will have a chance to explore local traditions, culture, and handicrafts while enjoying the unique natural beauty of this arctic region.
