Join the vibrant crew that brings Run The Wharf to life at Canary Wharf on Thursday, September 2, 2027. This year marks another exciting edition of FNL's chip-timed night race, which has grown exponentially since its debut in 2025 and continues to attract a diverse crowd for an unforgettable evening. The event features a 5K run that starts after dark from Canada Square Park, with approximately 5,000 runners taking part. As the race gains momentum, volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring everything runs smoothly—from cheering on participants at various points along the route to managing registration and bag drop areas. Each volunteer position offers unique responsibilities designed to enhance both the runner experience and the overall atmosphere of the event. Volunteers will be stationed across different roles such as Information & Registration, Bag Drop, Start Waves, General Support/Event Village, Finish Line Cheer Squad, Logistics & Set-up, Course Marshals, and Sweeper. These positions range from front-of-house tasks to behind-the-scenes operations, all contributing to making Run The Wharf one of the most anticipated events in the calendar. At Information & Registration, volunteers will greet runners with enthusiasm, handing out bib numbers and directing participants where needed. For Bag Drop, volunteers will manage belongings securely during the race and ensure a seamless retrieval process post-race. Start Waves positions involve guiding runners to their starting line and hyping up each wave as they depart on their journey. General Support/Event Village roles offer flexibility for those who enjoy variety, while Finish Line Cheer Squad members contribute to an electrifying atmosphere by celebrating every runner's accomplishment at the finish line. Logistics & Set-up volunteers prepare the venue in advance, setting everything up so that runners can focus solely on their race experience. Course Marshals ensure safety and proper routing throughout the event, providing essential support outdoors during the race window. Sweepers play a vital role as they accompany the final runners to completion, ensuring everyone crosses the finish line safely. Each volunteer position is integral to the success of Run The Wharb, fostering an environment where every participant feels supported and celebrated. This year's edition promises to be another spectacular night in Canary Wharf, showcasing the spirit of community and camaraderie that defines FNL events. Don't miss out on being part of this incredible event!
