Starting near Christ Church Meadow, participants will pass iconic landmarks such as Magdalen College Tower and the Radcliffe Camera before heading into quieter areas where ancient colleges and serene gardens dot the landscape. The route takes a turn towards Iffley Road Sports Ground for a brief respite on grassy fields, then continues to wind through residential neighborhoods with charming architecture.
As runners approach the halfway point, they'll be greeted by enthusiastic crowds lining the streets of Summertown and St Clement's. From there, it’s back into the heart of Oxford where participants will loop around the Botanic Garden and along the River Cherwell before heading out to Woodstock Road for a stretch through leafy parks.
The second half sees runners crossing Port Meadow, one of Europe's largest city meadows, offering panoramic views of the dreaming spires. The final miles bring athletes back into town via Grandpont where they will cross the finish line near Magdalen Bridge and its famous early morning choir singing from Magdalen College Tower.
