The Vognsbølparkens Marathon, known for its friendly and communal atmosphere, invites runners to experience the scenic coastal town of Esbjerg. The race course is meticulously marked with arrows and ribbon markers, ensuring that participants can navigate easily through the picturesque landscape.
Parking is conveniently located near Gl Vardevej 85 in Esbjerg, where you'll find ample space for all attendees. Upon arriving at the depot, runners will have access to water, cola, chips, sweets, fruits, and other refreshments. Feel free to bring your own snacks if desired.
After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy a warm cup of coffee or cocoa while indulging in traditional Danish rugbrød with various toppings. Public toilets are available along the route for runners' convenience, though there will be no facilities for changing clothes or taking showers after the race.
Late registrations on the day of the event may still be possible if spots remain open; however, medals cannot be guaranteed for late registrants. All participants must adhere to traffic rules and take responsibility for their own safety throughout the run.
Timing is managed independently by each runner using personal watches that should not be stopped during breaks or pit stops. An official clock will be present at the finish line where runners can record their times themselves.
Every participant who completes the marathon receives a diploma and medal as recognition of their achievement. Results and diplomas are available for collection after the race through Sportstiming, providing an easy way to review your performance.
The event follows strict criteria set by Klub 100 Marathon Danmark, ensuring that all races meet high standards in terms of organization and safety.
