(VIRTUAL) EN-TECH RUN 2027

The EN-TECH RUN 2027 is set to take place virtually on January 1, 2027, celebrating the 35th anniversary of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. Participants can choose between accumulating their distance over a month or completing the full 5 kilometers at once during January 2027.
This virtual run is organized by KMITL’s Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology to honor the faculty's long-standing contributions to engineering education and technology advancement in Thailand. The event aims to bring together alumni, students, and staff for a day of nostalgia and camaraderie while commemorating the institution's rich history and achievements.
Runners who complete their 5-kilometer distance will receive commemorative running attire along with an intricately designed silver Lord Ganesha figurine created through 3D printing technology. The figurines undergo traditional consecration ceremonies to ensure they are ready for personal worship by participants, replacing the typical medal award.
Participants can submit proof of completion via Thai Run's system using screenshots from GPS tracking apps like Strava or Nike Run Club. Upon verification and approval, runners will receive their rewards starting February 5, 2027. The registration fee is 499 THB per participant, excluding shipping costs and bank transaction fees.
This virtual run offers a unique blend of cultural significance and technological innovation, making it an exciting event for both local enthusiasts and international participants alike.
