VICTORY LANE BACKYARD 12

On August 28, 2027, runners will gather at Victory Lane Backyard for an endurance challenge like no other. The race begins promptly at 7:00 AM from the barn and features a single lap of 4.167 miles that must be completed within one hour to stay in contention. Over twelve hours, participants aim to complete as many laps as possible, with each finisher receiving aid and rest before starting their next loop.
The course is predominantly grass but includes stretches of gravel, challenging runners with roots, rocks, and uneven terrain. Water may also present an obstacle during this time of year. Spectators are not allowed on the race route except to assist at designated times, ensuring a focused environment for competitors.
Packet pickup will be available Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at CrossFit Valley Junction in Des Moines and Saturday starting at 6:00 AM near the event site. A mandatory pre-race meeting is scheduled for 6:45 AM on race day, providing crucial information before the start.
Crews can set up tents or canopies in a designated area east of the barn but must adhere to quiet hours and clean-up rules. No loud music or pets are permitted, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere throughout the event.
Participants will compete for an unspecified prize while striving to complete more laps than their rivals, with no official winner if multiple runners finish at 12 loops. The race offers a unique blend of physical challenge and mental fortitude in a scenic setting near Knoxville.
