VI Corrida São Silvestre de Alcochete

On December 12, 2026, the Municipality of Alcochete hosts the 6th São Silvestre de Alcochete Run and Walk. The event features two running courses: one for a challenging 5 km race and another for an even more demanding 10 km route. Additionally, there is a leisurely 5 km walk option for those who prefer to enjoy the scenic coastal views at their own pace.
For younger participants, the São Silvestre Kids offers fun runs tailored specifically for children aged between 3 and 8 years old. The shorter courses include a 700-meter run for slightly older kids and a more manageable 400-meter walk/run for the youngest competitors.
The race takes place in Alcochete, known for its picturesque coastal setting along the Tagus Estuary Natural Park. Participants will enjoy running through historic streets lined with traditional Portuguese architecture before heading out to admire panoramic views of the river and surrounding wetlands.
Registration is now open on the official website, where you can find detailed information about race day logistics and download a copy of the event regulations. This festive gathering promises an engaging mix of competition and community spirit as runners and walkers come together for what has become a beloved annual tradition in Alcochete.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early to make the most of pre-race activities, including warm-up sessions and family-friendly entertainment that will set the stage for an unforgettable day.
