VERTICAL RIDE CHALLENGE

On October 3, 2026, the Vertical Ride Challenge, organized by the paragliding section of the CSA of the 13ᵉ BCA, invites thrill-seekers and adventure enthusiasts to explore the stunning landscapes around Chambéry. This unique event combines cycling on scenic roads, hiking up challenging trails, soaring through the sky with a paraglider, and landing precisely at designated spots.
The day begins in the heart of the Parc naturel régional du Massif des Bauges, where participants start their journey by pedaling along carefully chosen routes that wind through picturesque countryside. After covering several kilometers on two wheels, athletes transition to foot for an ascent up a steep trail leading to one of the region's high peaks.
Once at altitude, competitors prepare for takeoff and experience the exhilaration of flying over breathtaking mountain vistas before attempting precision landings in various locations scattered across the terrain below. This multifaceted challenge not only tests physical endurance but also mental focus and technical skills.
