What better way to start your Thanksgiving Day than with a little morning run/walk? Come out for the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle Turkey Trot 5k. All ages welcome! The 5k will be on the property of James Rumsey Technical Institute and include trail, grass, and pavement that is mostly flat with some gentle hills. Give Thanks, Give Back by bringing a donation for the local backpack programs. Donations will be collected in the registration area and distributed to local backpack programs to be distributed with the holiday backpacks. Any proceeds from the event will be used for youth focused initiatives.
