Ultravandringen 008 - Expedition in Skåne

Welcome to the eighth edition of Ultravandringen i Skåne, an epic journey through the scenic landscapes of southern Sweden. Participants can choose between two challenging distances: 25km or 50km. The route, announced during winter 2026/27, winds its way across varied terrain with numerous elevation changes to test both endurance and determination.
For those tackling the shorter distance, expect energizing pit stops along the way including a mid-point coffee break and bananas. A fika bag is provided at the start line for an extra boost of energy throughout your trek. The longer 50km route offers a hearty lunch around the 30km mark, complemented by snacks and water stations to keep you fueled.
Water stops are strategically placed every few kilometers, with key points at 12 km and again at 40 km for those on the full distance course. Upon reaching your destination, all participants will be greeted with a feast of grilled delights and hearty congratulations from fellow adventurers and organizers alike.
The event kicks off early in the morning, starting at 6:00 AM for the longer route and rolling out an additional start time at 9:00 AM for those on the shorter journey. Participants can expect to cover approximately 4-6 kilometers per hour as they traverse through Skåne's picturesque countryside.
Ultravandringen i Skåne aims to provide a unique opportunity for all runners to embrace long-distance challenges and push their limits, fostering camaraderie among participants who share the spirit of adventure.
