The Fjords to the Sea Edition takes place over four days on the Lustica peninsula near Herceg Novi, blending the sheltered beauty of a Nordic fjord with the open expanse of the Adriatic.
Swimmers will embark from the luxurious 5 Hotel Lazure and journey through awe-inspiring landscapes. Weather permitting, the course features a breathtaking start line that passes through a vast blue cave before looping around the fortress island of Mamula. Swimmers also navigate an abandoned Cold War submarine pen and complete a country-to-country crossing back into Montenegro from Croatia.
The water temperature typically reaches a delightful 22-23°C during this late-season event, making for comfortable swimming conditions despite potentially moody weather due to the surrounding mountains.
