About the Event

On May 2, 2027, the Ultramaratona Volta da Lagoa — A Saga das Cinco Cidades will challenge runners with its unique blend of urban and rural landscapes around Alagoas' scenic Lagoa Mundaú. This endurance event covers five municipalities along a 64-kilometer route that weaves through diverse settings, including bustling city streets, serene countryside roads, and picturesque lakefront paths.
Participants can choose from solo or team formats: the grueling individual 64 km course, relay options for teams of two or quintets. The race begins at Restaurante Massaguerinha Lagoa near Ponte Divaldo Suruagy on AL-101 Sul and continues through varied terrain requiring careful navigation due to open traffic conditions.
The event celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of Alagoas, offering runners a chance to experience its unique geography and community spirit. With limited spots available for up to 800 athletes, early registration is advisable as entries are sold on a first-come-first-served basis across four pricing tiers from August through February.
For those aged 60 or older, special discounts apply with personal eligibility confirmed via race organizers before the deadline. Official event communication channels include Instagram and Facebook for updates leading up to this memorable day in May.
