Ultra X Rwanda is a two-day trail running event taking place on January 24-25, 2026, in the stunning northern districts of Burera and Musanze. The race offers two main options: a 110km two-stage ultramarathon and a 50km single-stage race, both set near the Volcanoes National Park and the scenic twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. The course guides runners through a sensory journey of gentle hills, lush valleys, and traditional farming landscapes. It is a UTMB World Series indexed race, allowing participants to earn valuable performance points. The event is designed as an adventure, combining a challenging run with the opportunity for a holiday, including optional add-ons like gorilla trekking or a safari in Akagera National Park.
