About the Event

The UTLM, or Ultra Trail La Mayenne, is an 85-kilometer ultra-distance race that takes runners along the picturesque banks of the Mayenne River. Starting from the town of Mayenne and finishing in Daon, this challenging course features a significant descent with over 66 meters of negative elevation gain.
Runners can choose between three formats: solo competition for seasoned ultrarunners seeking an endurance challenge; a relay race involving two runners who will switch at the MFR "La Pignerie" after covering distances of 36.7 kilometers and 48.3 kilometers respectively, with both athletes completing the final kilometer together; or a five-person relay event where each runner covers distinct segments along the route—Mayenne to Montflours (20.35 km), Montflours to La Pignière (16.35 km), La Pignière to Origné (14 km), Origné to Château-Gontier (21 km), and finally from Château-Gontier to Daon (13.30 km). All relay teams have the option for their final runner to complete the last kilometer alongside teammates.
The race begins at 5:00 AM, offering participants a serene morning start as they navigate through tranquil river landscapes and historic towns along the Mayenne River corridor. For those needing transportation back from Daon after crossing the finish line, shuttle services are available for an additional fee of €5; pre-registration is recommended.
This event promises to be an unforgettable journey through the scenic beauty and rich history of western France’s natural waterways.
