Tuscazoar Endurance Race

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Camp Tuscazoar in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, the 9th annual Tuscazoar Race promises an unforgettable adventure for trail runners on September 4, 2027. This year's event features a challenging 25-mile loop that winds through rugged terrain and pristine trails within the camp grounds, with the exception of a 5.5-mile stretch across private property.
The course is predominantly off-road, offering a unique blend of wooded paths and scenic vistas rarely found in Ohio. Runners can choose from various distances including the grueling 100 mile race, the more manageable but still demanding 75 and 50 mile options, or the shorter yet equally captivating 25 mile route. For those seeking an evening adventure, there are night starts for both the 50 and 25-mile races at 7:00 p.m.
Camp Tuscazoar's Kimble Hall serves as a central hub for drop bags and pre-race activities, providing runners with essential amenities throughout their journey. Aid stations along the course include River Ranch, Buzzards Roost, and the Tuscazoar Preserve Parking Lot, ensuring that participants are well-supported every step of the way.
The race also introduces the Tuscazoar Series, offering a discount for those who sign up for all three races hosted at Camp Tuscazoar. This series includes "Running With My Gnomies" on May 8th and "Tuscazoar Raw" on June 19th, providing runners with diverse challenges across different terrains.
With strict cutoff times in place to ensure safety and smooth race operations, participants must adhere to the designated schedules for each distance. All finishers will receive awards, including belt buckles for longer races and medals for shorter distances, as well as age group accolades.
For those looking to stay overnight, Camp Tuscazoar offers a range of accommodations from primitive camping sites to cozy cabins, ensuring comfort after an exhilarating day on the trails.
