Turkey Trot 2026

Join Shawano for an unforgettable Thanksgiving Day celebration at the Turkey Trot 2026 presented by Total Fitness. This beloved community tradition welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy a festive morning on Thursday, November 26th.
The event kicks off early with t-shirt pick-up and late registration starting at 6:30am, giving participants ample time to get ready for the race which begins promptly at 8:00am. Early registrants who sign up by November 1st will receive a complimentary t-shirt as part of their entry fee.
Entry fees are $25 for individuals aged 12 and older, while kids between ages 3-11 can participate for just $15. The event is completely free for children under the age of three years old.
This year's Turkey Trot aims to raise funds in support of WAMSCO (Waterway Association of Menominee and Shawano County), a local non-profit dedicated to preserving and enhancing waterways throughout Shawano and Menominee counties. By participating, you'll not only enjoy a fun day out but also contribute towards important environmental initiatives that benefit the entire community.
WAMSCO's mission is clear: they strive for greater biodiversity in our lakes and streams, work to reduce surface water runoff and nutrient loadings, combat algae blooms, improve fishing opportunities, and enhance recreational activities on local waters. All these efforts are made possible through grants, member dues, and generous donations from supporters like you.
So gather your loved ones and join us for a day filled with joy, camaraderie, and the chance to make a positive impact in Shawano's beautiful natural surroundings.
Join fellow runners and walkers as they come together on Thanksgiving Day at 8:00am sharp. Don't miss out on this heartwarming event that promises both fun and meaningful community engagement.
