Turkey Trot 10km road race

The Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club presents the Turkey Trot 10k Road Race, set to take place on Sunday, December 27, 2026, at 10:30am. This race offers a perfect opportunity for runners of all levels to conclude their year with a memorable run and start off 2027 with enthusiasm.
The Turkey Trot is a scenic 10k road race that begins on the picturesque Ayr promenade beach front before heading towards Doonfoot via the Millennium bridge, passing by Greenan castle. The route then loops back along the same path to reach the finish line just beyond the Canon path near South Harbour Street in Ayr.
Entry fees are £20 per participant or £18 for members of Scottish Athletics Federation (SAF). All participants must register online before December 19, 2026. Registration opens at 9:00am and closes promptly at 10:00am on race day. The event will be chip-timed with no water stations along the route; however, water is available at the finish line.
Registration takes place at the Cutty-Sark Centre located at 40 High Street Ayr, KA7 1PA. After collecting your race number and timing chip from the center, you'll need to walk approximately 600m to reach the starting point near Citadel Leisure Centre on South Harbour St. Parking is not provided by organizers; participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with local parking options.
The event includes first aid services and medical coverage for all runners. Prizes will be awarded at a brief ceremony immediately following the race, recognizing top male and female finishers in both overall categories.
