Immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of Tsitsikamma's wilderness on this five-day guided slack packing adventure. Starting at Nature’s Valley and ending at Paul Sauer Bridge, you will traverse 62 kilometers through breathtaking landscapes without the burden of a heavy backpack. Each day offers a new journey with pristine forests, dramatic coastlines, hidden valleys, and spectacular river crossings. Your luggage is transported ahead to your next accommodation each night, allowing for comfortable hiking in the Tsitsikamma Mountains.
From September to April, when weather conditions are optimal, this moderate trail takes you through coastal thicket, fynbos, Afro-montane forest, and pine plantations. The route features scenic waterfalls and technical areas that require a good base level of fitness but no scrambling skills. Each overnight hut is strategically placed for maximum enjoyment of its surroundings.
Join us from December 2 to December 6, 2026, as we explore the heart of Tsitsikamma at your own pace, making memories along the way without compromising on comfort or safety.
This adventure begins and ends with shuttle transport provided between De Vasselot Rest Camp and Paul Sauer Bridge. Cost starts at R8,500 per person for classic hiker bunk hut accommodation, including all meals and overnight stays in communal hot showers via a donkey boiler system. Suitable for children over 12 and adults under 65.
