Trofeo delle Regioni Urban Cup - Pignataro Maggiore

The Urban Downhill Race returns to Pignataro Maggiore, Campania, organized by the Monte Maggiore Biker school. This year's edition continues a tradition of innovative and passionate cycling events initiated by Luigi Di Vicino (Luigi Jolanda) and Antonio Magliocca (Tony Mary Magliocca), alongside Claudio Giosafatto. The team has built an enduring camaraderie, fueled by their love for sports and the local landscape.
The event is a testament to the success of last year's Urban Cup and follows in its footsteps with yet another unique initiative: the first-ever FCI MINI ENDURO race held in Campania. This year’s location has been carefully selected once again, ensuring that participants will experience thrilling urban downhill routes within this picturesque setting.
Local officials such as Pignataro Maggiore's Mayor Cesare Cuccaro and his team at Proloco have played a pivotal role in bringing the event back for another season by providing essential support during its early stages. The race is sponsored exclusively by Romagnuolo Auto (Romagnuolo Agp), whose commitment goes beyond mere financial backing, as their managerial expertise and dedication to the community have been instrumental in making this project flourish.
As part of the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana Campania's efforts for gravity disciplines, this event marks a significant milestone. The regional committee, under the guidance of its President and staff, has managed to secure three events dedicated to ENDURO/DH racing categories within their region for the first time in history.
Local bike specialists like Marcello Iannaccone’s Linea Bici shop have been pivotal supporters throughout these initiatives. Known for their expertise in gravity disciplines such as muscle-based cycling and eBike, they provide essential support and equipment to ensure a smooth-running event.
The race also benefits from championship sponsors including Vittoria, Double3, 8 Degree Pedal, FT Pro, Massigen, and Quidrez, contributing to the high-quality experience participants can expect.
