Tri-Rivington Duathlon

Tri-Rivingtons Ray McGloin Duathlon invites athletes to lace up their running shoes and saddle up for an exhilarating journey through Bolton's scenic landscapes. Set for Sunday, September 6, 2026, this event promises a blend of endurance testing and breathtaking views.
The race starts with a spirited run along the leafy trails around Smithills School before transitioning into a challenging 18-mile bike ride that winds through the picturesque Rivington area. Competitors will then conclude their journey with another invigorating 3.5 mile run, bringing them back to the finish line at Smithills Dean Rd.
Participants can look forward to an enriching experience tailored for runners and cyclists of all skill levels. The event offers a unique opportunity to push personal limits while enjoying the camaraderie among fellow athletes. Upon crossing the finish line, every competitor will receive a custom-designed medal and a goody bag filled with surprises from sponsors and organizers.
