From December 5 to 6, 2026, the Transmartinique race invites trail runners to explore the stunning landscapes of Martinique. This challenging endurance event offers both individual and relay formats for participants seeking adventure on foot. The course spans an impressive distance of 134 kilometers from Grand Rivière to Sainte Anne, winding through diverse terrains that showcase the island's natural beauty. The route is a testament to the rugged trails and lush scenery of Martinique, offering runners breathtaking views and unforgettable moments along the way. For those opting for the individual race, the event promises an unparalleled experience as participants navigate solo across varied landscapes under moonlit skies on Saturday night before continuing through daylight hours on Sunday. With up to 400 spots available, this edition provides a unique opportunity for trail enthusiasts to push their limits in one of the most scenic settings imaginable. The relay format caters to teams of four who will share the challenge over the same distance and route but with the added dynamic of teamwork. This event accommodates only 60 participants divided into fifteen teams, making it an exclusive adventure for those looking to combine camaraderie with competition. Registration fees are €150 until November 1st and increase to €160 from November 2nd onwards, up to a final deadline on November 24th or when the number of spots is filled. For relay teams, early bird pricing starts at €160 before November 1st, rising to €180 thereafter. With its blend of natural beauty and competitive spirit, Transmartinique offers an unforgettable trail running experience for both solo adventurers and team players alike. For those who have a passion for endurance sports and the allure of discovering new trails under starlit skies or amidst vibrant daylight, this event promises to be a highlight on any runner's calendar. The race is not just about reaching the finish line but also about embracing the journey through Martinique’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Note: Specific details such as exact elevation profiles, aid stations, and detailed route maps will be provided closer to the event date for both individual runners and relay teams participating in this unique adventure.
