TRAIL NOCTURNE BOSCEEN

Get ready for an unforgettable Halloween night as the Trail Nocturne Boscéen transforms the landscape into a thrilling and festive sporting event. Organized by L'Herbauges Athlé 44, section du Nantes Métropole Athlétisme, this unique evening promises excitement with its mix of athletic challenges and spooky surprises.
The trail runs take place under the moonlight on October 31st, starting at dusk when visibility is key. Participants will need a headlamp or other lighting system to navigate through the darkened paths safely. The event offers three distinct distances catering to different levels of experience:
- La Lanterne (24 km): This longer route begins promptly at 6:15 PM, offering runners an extended adventure through varied terrain.

- La Loupiote (12 km): For those looking for a more manageable distance, this race kicks off half an hour later at 6:45 PM.
- La Luciole (8 km): The shortest option starts last at 7:05 PM, providing the perfect introduction to night running or a chance for younger participants to enjoy their first trail experience in darkness.
The courses weave through approximately 70% of trails and forest paths, with only 30% on roads. Expect a mix of soft earth tracks, dense woodland sections, and possibly some wetter areas that could turn the ground into mud. This diverse terrain ensures an engaging challenge for runners who enjoy navigating varied conditions.
Before hitting the trail, there's plenty to do starting in the afternoon: marche nordique events at 2:30 PM followed by children’s races from 5 PM onwards, all free of charge and designed to engage young athletes early.
The event venue is lively with a buffet and refreshments available throughout the evening for both runners and spectators. A booth will also be present where participants can leave their belongings securely on-site.
On top of the exhilarating runs, this year promises new surprises scattered along each route—think hidden challenges or themed decorations that add to the eerie yet fun atmosphere typical of Halloween night activities. All competitors receive a souvenir item as part of their participation reward.
To ensure smooth entry into the event, participants can collect their race numbers at Décathlon Nantes Atlantis on October 30th from either 11 AM to 2 PM or 5 PM until 7 PM. Alternatively, dossiers will be available for collection on-site starting early morning up until half an hour before each race's start time.
Whether you're a seasoned runner looking for a challenging night run or someone seeking the thrill of Halloween in athletic form, the Trail Nocturne Boscéen is your destination this October 31st. Don't miss out on experiencing one of the most memorable nights of the year!
