Trail Half Marathon Wales

On November 14, 2026, runners will have the opportunity to explore the stunning Margam Park in South Wales through two trail races: the Trail Half Marathon and the Trail 10k. Both events offer a unique blend of natural beauty and historical charm within one of Wales' most picturesque country estates.
The half marathon course winds its way through lush woodlands, open parkland, and rolling hills, providing breathtaking views of the South Wales coastline stretching towards the Gower Peninsula. Runners will pass through Margam Park's historic deer enclosure and venture beneath the grandeur of the Margam Country House, immersing them in a rich tapestry of nature and history.
For those seeking a shorter adventure, the Trail 10k offers an equally captivating experience over its more compact route. This race takes participants on woodland paths and through open parkland with sweeping views of the coastline and glimpses into the surrounding countryside. Runners will also pass by the famous deer enclosure and historic Margam Country House, adding to the unique atmosphere.
Both races are designed for runners new to trail running or those looking for a challenging yet achievable experience off-road. The courses are fully marked with clear signage and flags, ensuring that participants can focus on enjoying their run without worrying about navigation. Minimal kit requirements include essentials like a water bottle or cup, phone, appropriate headwear based on weather conditions, and a waterproof top if the forecast is poor.
Registration for both events will take place at race headquarters between 07:30 and 08:30 AM for the half marathon and from 08:30 to 09:30 AM for the 10k. Start times are set for 09:00 AM for the half marathon and 10:00 AM for the 10k, with participants asked to arrive at least ten minutes before their race start.
Car parking is provided free of charge in a designated area near East Gate from 07:15 AM. The entry fee includes car parking, an electronic timing system, access to safety teams and emergency first aid coverage, as well as finisher medals for all participants. Additionally, runners will have the chance to download complimentary race photographs.
