Join the spooky fun at Barry Sidings Country Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026, as Phoenix Running South Wales hosts its inaugural LET'S GO GHOULS! Children's Run. Designed for kids aged 4 to 11, this exciting event kicks off at 10am and features a spirited 2km course that loops around the picturesque lakeside area. The run begins near Barry Sidings Cafe and takes participants on a short trail towards the serene lakes and vibrant children’s play zone. Runners will complete three laps of the lake before heading back to an aid station for their finish line celebration. The mass start ensures all young runners can set off together, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with cheers and encouragement. Fancy dress is highly encouraged, adding to the festive Halloween spirit as little ghouls, witches, and superheroes make their way through the scenic course. Upon crossing the finish line, participants will receive one of three specially designed medals: "Feisty Phoenix," "Magic Potion Bottle," or "Runificent Tiaras & Tutus." With limited spots available, early registration is recommended to secure a place in this enchanting event. Licensed by Welsh Athletics and fully sanctioned, LET'S GO GHOULS! promises an unforgettable experience for young runners and their families.
