Trail des Lucioles

Le Trail des Lucioles returns to Riotord for its 18th edition, nestled at the intersection of three departments: Loire, Haute-Loire, and Ardèche. This unique race offers an experience that blends day and night running through scenic terrain. Participants start under daylight but finish after dark with their headlamps illuminating the way as they traverse hills and forests. The event is a distinctive journey through the region’s landscapes and atmosphere.
The trail features three children's courses tailored to different age groups, allowing young runners to join in on the fun and excitement of this special race day. For adults, there are three main distances: 32 kilometers, 17 kilometers, and 8 kilometers, with two routes certified by UTMB for a 20K challenge.
Adding an element of team spirit is a club or company relay competition where participants aim to cover the most distance collectively. This edition also highlights local pride with a special prize awarded to runners from the Haut Pays du Velay region.
