The 17km course winds through picturesque heathland and forest trails, offering a technically challenging yet rewarding journey with over 230 meters of elevation gain. Designed for runners from junior level upwards, this race is perfect for those who want to push their limits on an exhilarating route that keeps you engaged every step of the way.
For beginners or those looking for a more accessible option, the 9km Discovery Trail presents itself as a delightful introduction to trail running. This course shares much of its scenic path with the longer distance but omits some technical sections, making it suitable for cadet runners and beyond. With just over 130 meters of elevation gain, this race is an ideal choice for both newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts seeking a leisurely yet invigorating run.
The event kicks off at Étang de Sérent with simultaneous starts: the 9km race commences at 9:15 AM, followed by the 17km route at 9:30 AM. Both races complete a single loop course, ensuring that participants enjoy the full charm of the heathland and forest surroundings.
Racers will find support along their journey through strategically placed aid stations, as well as upon crossing the finish line where they can look forward to free galette-saucisse (galette with sausage) treats. The top performers in both categories will receive trophées or cups for their efforts.
Mark your calendars now; registrations are open until July 6th at 8 PM. Early bird pricing starts at €10, and on-site registration is available up to 30 minutes before the start time—though availability of dossards (race numbers) cannot be guaranteed beyond this point.
