Trail de Senlis: A Night and Day Running Experience Near Paris
The Trail de Senlis, now entering its 18th edition, is set to dazzle runners with an array of challenging courses and vibrant atmosphere. Located near the historic town of Senlis in Oise (60), this event offers a unique blend of nocturnal and daytime running experiences.
Nocturne 10 km
The evening kicks off on Saturday at 6:00 PM, as runners embark on a 10-kilometer journey under the starlit sky. Starting from Gymnase Hugues Capet, avenue de Reims in Senlis, this course promises an unforgettable adventure through the quiet streets and scenic routes of the area.
29 km
On Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, a longer distance awaits with the 29-kilometer trail. This challenging route offers participants stunning views and varied terrain as they navigate through picturesque landscapes around Senlis. A hydration station is set up at the 14th kilometer to ensure runners stay refreshed.
15 km
For those looking for a balance between challenge and accessibility, Sunday also features a 10-kilometer course starting promptly at 10:00 AM from Gymnase Hugues Capet. This route offers beautiful scenery while remaining manageable in duration.
Registration closes on Saturday, November 28th, by noon, so be sure to secure your spot early for this highly anticipated event. The entry fees are €14 for the nocturnal course and €28 or €18 respectively for the longer daytime routes.
On both days, packet pick-up is available at Gymnase Hugues Capet on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Sunday starting at 7:30 AM. Participants are advised to bring safety pins to secure their bib numbers during the race.
The event emphasizes self-sufficiency, encouraging runners to come prepared with appropriate gear for both trail conditions and weather changes. Upon completion of your chosen distance, you’ll be greeted not only by a finisher's medal but also an elaborate feast awaiting all participants at the end.
Top male and female competitors in each category will receive special prizes and gift certificates as recognition for their outstanding performance during this exhilarating event.
