About the Event

The Torgnole Race offers runners an exciting and unique challenge that combines endurance with camaraderie and celebration. The event takes place from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM, featuring two distinct formats designed for both solo competitors and relay teams.
In the first format, participants have six hours to complete as many laps of a natural loop course as possible. Spanning 4.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of approximately 130 meters per lap, this challenging route winds through picturesque terrain that tests runners' stamina and determination. Solo athletes can push themselves to their limits individually, while relay teams consisting of two to four members take turns on the track from a designated area near the base camp.
The second format, inspired by the beer-mile concept but adapted for wider enjoyment, is called Torgnole. This event runs from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM and invites participants to complete four consecutive laps of 400 meters each (a total distance of one mile). Before starting each lap, runners are treated to a drink—either beer or lemonade provided by the organizers—which adds an element of fun and relaxation amidst the competitive spirit. The race begins and ends in Auchel's Saint-Pierre Wood, surrounded by lush greenery that enhances the festive atmosphere.
Both formats offer participants the chance to experience dynamic landscapes while engaging with fellow runners in a supportive community setting. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply enjoying the camaraderie of shared athletic pursuits, this event promises an unforgettable day out on the course.
