On October 24, 2026, the picturesque Baron Lake will serve as the starting point for an extraordinary adventure. This marks the 22nd edition of the BBC by Securitest Guipry-Messac trail race series, offering runners a chance to explore exceptional natural circuits in Bœuvres, Baron, and Corbinières. The rolling terrain along the Vilaine River promises thrilling sensations amidst a beautiful forested landscape. The day will unfold with five distinct races, each tailored for different levels of expertise: Trail Runners can choose from: - 10:45 AM: BBC by Securitest Guipry-Messac – A challenging trail race covering 45 kilometers and featuring 1000 meters of elevation gain. Limited to 200 participants, this event is also recognized with two points ITRA (International Trail Running Association). - 12:45 PM: LA VILAINE by Super U Guipry-Messac – A shorter trail course measuring 31 kilometers and 700 meters of elevation gain. Limited to 250 participants, it offers one point ITRA. For those seeking a more leisurely pace: - 14:30 PM: LA BARONNAISE by Transports ORAIN – A nature run covering 18 kilometers with 400 meters of elevation. The event is capped at 400 participants. - 16:15 PM: LA GUISSACOISE by Lysadis BigMat – Another nature course, this one spans 8 kilometers and includes 200 meters of ascent. Limited to 250 runners. The night brings a unique challenge: - 19:15 PM: LE TRAIL FANTÔME – A non-timed 5-kilometer trail race with nocturnal surprises. Limited to 250 participants, this event adds an extra layer of excitement for night runners. Young athletes will have the opportunity to participate in: - 13:30 PM: BAMBINOS Trail (Non-timed courses) – A series of events designed for different age groups including: - 690 meters for 2018-2019-2020 athletes - 1 kilometer and 390 meters for 2016-2017 athletes - 2 kilometers and 100 meters for 2014-2015 athletes - 2 kilometers and 100 meters for 2012-2013 athletes Teams can also compete in: - The small challenge: Two runners, one on the 8 km course and another on the 18 km. - The large challenge: Four runners covering distances of 8 km, 18 km, 31 km, and 45 km respectively. Each runner will receive a prize upon collecting their race number. Medals for first male and female in each category along with team prizes await the top teams in the BBC Challenge. Proceeds from this event benefit OSE, an association supported by the organizers every year through one euro per registration.
