Tour de Dodge

On April 17, 2027, the Driftless Trail Collective invites runners to explore the scenic trails of Governor Dodge State Park for the fifth annual Tour de Dodge. The event offers three challenging courses: a grueling 50K starting at 7 am with approximately 4,000 feet of elevation gain and a 9-hour cut-off; a more manageable yet still demanding 27K beginning at 9 am featuring around 2,500 feet of ascent within a 7-hour window; and a shorter but spirited 10K kicking off at 10:30 am with just 900 feet of elevation.
Participants can expect well-stocked aid stations along the way—five for the longest route (two visited twice), four for the mid-length, and one for the shortest course—all equipped with essential supplies like water, soda, peanut butter sandwiches, fruit, salty snacks, and candy to keep energy levels high throughout the race.
Given that this event falls during turkey hunting season in Wisconsin's Driftless Area, competitors are strongly encouraged to wear blaze orange or other highly visible clothing for their safety. The race is held regardless of weather conditions, but organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel due to trail closures, severe weather, pandemic restrictions, or at the request of local officials.
The Tour de Dodge promises a vibrant and supportive atmosphere amidst the natural beauty of Governor Dodge State Park, offering runners an unforgettable experience in one of Wisconsin's most picturesque settings. Each finisher will receive a custom DTC hat from Territory Run Co., while top three male, female, and non-binary competitors in each category take home specially customized horseshoe medals crafted by race directors.
