Tooele Turkey Trail Trot Til You Drop

Last One's a Rotten Egg is an exhilarating endurance challenge set against the scenic backdrop of Settlement Canyon. This unique 5.5-mile race, featuring a total elevation gain of 1,200 feet per lap, pushes participants to their limits with each passing minute.
The course begins at the Settlement Canyon Toll Booth gate and winds through varied terrain, offering runners both challenging climbs and serene stretches alongside babbling creeks. Runners start on paved Settlement Canyon Road before turning onto Left Hand Fork Trail for a steep climb through dense forest. The trail then opens up to reveal an enchanting meadow followed by sections that wind along the creek's edge.
As participants progress, they encounter "Muddy Trail," which merges with "Bottom Trail" and continues northeast towards "Bench Trail." Here, runners are treated to stunning views of Settlement Canyon as they navigate through trees before heading southwest into open sidehill terrain. The course then descends past Camp Wapiti via a brief dirt road section before returning to the paved Left Hand Fork Road.
Each lap is run in opposite directions from the previous one, adding an element of strategic planning and adaptability for runners aiming to maintain their pace across changing conditions. Competitors must complete each 5.5-mile loop within 90 minutes; failing to do so results in elimination. The race continues until only a few remain for the final lap at 5:00 pm, where positions are determined by who crosses the finish line first.
At the Start/Finish Area near the Toll Booth gate, runners find essential support with typical ultra event food and drink options available. Participants can also bring their own supplies to ensure they have everything needed throughout the day.
The top three male and female finishers will be awarded modest prizes for their efforts.
