Titov Vrv SkyRace

"Titov Vrv Skyrace," an extreme high-mountain competition held annually since 2019, challenges runners with its rugged and rocky terrain across Shar Mountain National Park. Spanning 20 kilometers with a dramatic elevation gain of 1,900 meters, the race starts at Popova Shapka (1,750m) and climbs to peaks over 2,500 meters, including the highest peak on Shar Mountain—Titov Vrv—at an impressive 2,747 meters. The route winds through scenic valleys and along winter trails, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Participants traverse from Popova Shapka via the ski trail "Ceripashina" to Anteni (2,520m), then continue on a ridge path passing Kazani, Karabunar, Bakaradan peak, and finally reaching Titov Vrv. The return journey follows the same challenging route back to the start point at Popova Shapka.
The race features two checkpoints and three refreshment stations along its course, with trained volunteers providing assistance throughout. Additional safety measures include a rescue team and medical staff on standby for any unforeseen emergencies.
This event is not only a national championship in skyrunning but also serves as a selection race for the Macedonian representative team. It promotes the natural beauty and tourism potential of Shar Mountain National Park while celebrating mountaineering culture and mountain running sports.
Registration fees are 1,100 MKD (early bird), 1,500 MKD (regular entry until March 31, 2027), and 1,700 MKD for late entries from April 1 to June 10, 2027. The race deadline is June 10 at 11:59 p.m., with a strict finish time limit of seven hours.
Runners are advised that the route may be adjusted in case of adverse weather conditions by organizers.
