Tideline Classic

Campbell River, British Columbia. Vancouver Island. The inaugural Tideline Classic takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM PDT from Ken Forde Park (2780 South Island Highway). Choose 11 km, 5 km, or the 2 km kids race. Zero elevation gain — a flat, fast course along Campbell River's iconic Seawalk, with sweeping ocean views, rugged shoreline, and fresh coastal air. Wave starts. Manual timing (no chips — results on RaceClocker). Waffle breakfast, swag bag, and post‑race snacks included. Celebrates the grand opening of Foundation Rehab's new location. Proceeds support KidSport BC. No refunds (except pregnancy with doctor's note). No dogs, no strollers, one earbud only.

Location — Ken Forde Park, Campbell River, Vancouver Island, BC:

• Campbell River is a coastal city on the east side of Vancouver Island, about 2.5 hours north of Victoria, 1.5 hours north of Nanaimo
• Ken Forde Park is located at 2780 South Island Highway (near the intersection with Highway 19A)
• The course runs along the Campbell River Seawalk — a paved, multi‑use path that hugs the shoreline of Discovery Passage (the strait between Vancouver Island and Quadra Island)
• Zero elevation gain — flat and fast

Course Details — Seawalk, Public Pathway, No Dedicated Race Lane:

• All distances start and finish at Ken Forde Park
• Zero elevation gain — ideal for personal bests
• Course markings at all intersections and regular intervals along the Seawalk
• Course marshals at all crossing points in the Willow Point business area
• No dedicated race lane — participants must share the path with the public and be respectful of other users

Hydration Stations & Washrooms:

• 11 km course: hydration station at Hidden Harbour Park South (67 S Island Highway) — turn‑around point
• 5 km course: hydration station at Simms Creek Pump Station — turn‑around point

Race Policies — No Refunds (Except Pregnancy), No Bib Transfers, No Dogs, No Strollers:

• No refunds, deferrals, or credits for any reason except pregnancy (full refund with doctor's note)
• If the race is cancelled more than 30 days out: partial refund (depending on expenses incurred)
• If cancelled less than 30 days out or interrupted during the race: no refunds
• No transferring registration to another individual
• No transferring to a longer distance (transferring down is allowed, but no refund)
• Only registered participants with a valid race bib are allowed on the course — bandits banned from future events
• No dogs, no strollers
• One earbud only (for safety — you must hear people around you)
• Race numbers must be clearly visible on the front of your shirt (manual timing)
• Bibs are non‑transferable — anyone found wearing someone else's bib will be disqualified
• Participants must sign an online Race Roster waiver plus an additional on‑site paper waiver

Kids Race Policies — Parent/Guardian Accompaniment:

• All participants in the Kids 2k Race must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at check‑in
• For ages 9 and under: a parent or guardian is expected to be on‑course with them
• For ages 10 and older: a parent or guardian is expected to be on‑course or remain course‑side for the duration of the race

Withdrawal — Must Notify a Marshal or Race Director:

• If you start the race and cannot complete the course, you must notify a course marshal, the timing team at the finish line, or the race director
• Medical staff and race directors have the authority to remove any racer if they deem it unsafe to continue

• Athlete check‑in opens at 9:00 AM at Ken Forde Park
• 11 km wave start at 10:00 AM
• 5 km wave start at 10:15 AM
• 2 km kids race mass start at 10:30 AM
