Three Peaks Fell Race

The Three Peaks Race, steeped in tradition since its inception in 1954, invites runners to conquer the Yorkshire Dales Mountains. This challenging course covers 24 miles through some of Britain's most rugged and breathtaking terrain, featuring Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside. Competitors will ascend to a staggering height of 2,500 feet above sea level, navigating steep ascents and descents across the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
This year’s race offers an early start option for runners aged FV40+ (Females) or MV60+ (Males), providing them with an extra 15 minutes to tackle the demanding course. The standard start time is at 10:30am, while those opting for the earlier departure will set off at 10:15am.
The race route showcases the raw beauty of Yorkshire’s wild landscapes, offering runners a true test of endurance and determination as they traverse through scenic moorlands and dense forests. The male course record stands at an impressive 2 hours 53 minutes and 28 seconds, set by Thomas Roach in 2023, while Holly Wootten holds the female record with her time of 3 hours 34 minutes and 36 seconds from 2024.
