About the Event

Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Thousand Islands region on May 14, 2027, with the Thousand Islands Half Marathon and related races. On Friday evening, runners can participate in the scenic 5K at the Thousand Islands Winery in Alexandria Bay. For those looking to extend their weekend adventure, Saturday offers both a 10K and half marathon on Wellesley Island.
The race courses take you through stunning landscapes with views of the iconic Thousand Islands Bridge and surrounding waters. The start line for both the 10K and Half Marathon is at Hart House, marking slight course alterations from previous years but preserving the picturesque route along Wellesley Island’s shores.
For a unique twist on this year's event, participants in Saturday morning races will have the option to ride Uncle Sam's Tour Boat shuttle from Alexandria Bay to Wellesley Island. This 15-minute ferry ride provides an easy and scenic way to reach the race start without worrying about parking or traffic.
Registration includes more than just entry fees; runners receive custom sweatshirts for half marathon and 10K participants, short sleeve shirts for those in the 5K, a finisher medal, post-race refreshments from Southern Tier Brewing Company, hydration stations along the course, and access to portable restrooms.
Join fellow athletes at Hart House as you run through this historic setting, celebrating your achievement with live music and awards following each race day event.
This year’s edition promises an enhanced runner experience, making it a must-attend for anyone who appreciates scenic running routes and local charm.
