Winter Lucky Dip Run: Embrace the Spirit of Inclusion and Adventure Join us for an exciting winter edition of our Winter Lucky Dip Run, where every participant has the chance to customize their medal from a selection of past events. This unique twist adds an element of surprise and personalization to your running experience. The event welcomes runners of all abilities, including enthusiastic walkers, making it a truly inclusive gathering on January 30th, 2027, starting at 9:00 AM sharp. Located in the charming setting of The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines (TW18 4SU), this race offers participants stunning views along a picturesque stretch of the River Thames. Members enjoy exclusive benefits such as discounted entry fees and guaranteed spots for just £10 less than full price. Additionally, members receive a mini-me medal pin at every event attended. For those who are part of UK Athletics affiliated clubs, there's an extra discount on your registration fee. This 7-hour time challenge allows you to set your own pace and distance. The minimum requirement is completing just 3km, while the full lap measures approximately 4.37 miles (or 7km). You can tackle as many laps as desired within UK Athletics age restrictions. We also offer a special route for younger runners with designated turn points at 3k and 5k to adhere to safety guidelines. The course features well-maintained paths and tarmac, making it suitable year-round even in winter conditions. For those completing longer distances, we provide distance pins: Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km, and Ultra for achievements of half-marathon length or more. Upon crossing the finish line after a minimum of 3 kilometers, you'll receive one of our themed medals to commemorate your effort. Our goody bags are another highlight; they're packed with treats like snacks, sweets, and even vegan options tailored specifically to dietary preferences noted at registration. Aid tables will be available throughout the event offering refreshments including drinks and savory or sweet snacks. These stations ensure you stay hydrated and energized during your run. Should this milestone race mark a significant personal achievement for you—like reaching 50 marathons, half-marathons, or more—we invite you to share that with us so we can celebrate it together. The venue offers basic facilities including toilets but no changing rooms. Participants are advised to use the downstairs toilet area if they need to change on-site. Car parking is conveniently available in Bridge Street Car Park (TW18 4TP). Race day instructions will be provided via email a week before, ensuring you have all necessary details for race registration and number pick-up.
