The event kicks off promptly at 11:00 AM with all runners meeting at Cargo Bar. From there, the group embarks on an untimed 5K journey through the scenic trails of Assiniboine Park. This is not just any race; it's a relaxed fun run designed for everyone—from seasoned racers to first-timers and families alike. No chip timing or pressure to beat anyone else—just enjoy the camaraderie, beautiful surroundings, and festive atmosphere.
Registration includes entry into the Turkey Trot 5K, a commemorative bib, a finisher medal, an exclusive event-branded toque from Rally x City Park Runners, a delicious turkey sandwich courtesy of the Manitoba Turkey Association, one post-run drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), access to s’mores at the outdoor station, and much more. The day's activities continue well past the race with an after-party featuring live music by an outdoor DJ.
Post-race festivities begin around 11:30 AM, offering runners a chance to unwind on Cargo Bar’s patio while enjoying complimentary drinks, turkey sandwiches, and s’mores.
