Redline 1800: Unleash the Night
Presented by City Park Runners, Redline 1800 is set to electrify Winnipeg's racing scene on Friday, September 18th at Birchwood Auto Race Loop. This high-energy event invites teams of four runners to push their limits in a unique and dynamic relay race.
The evening kicks off with an atmosphere charged by live DJs, dramatic lighting effects, and even smoke machines, transforming the concrete lanes into a thrilling battleground for glory. Participants will experience a night filled with adrenaline as they compete against 199 other teams across closed-loop roadways designed to challenge their speed and strategy.
Registration is just $50 per participant, which includes a fully branded event shirt, commemorative race bibs, post-race pulled pork tacos from CRAVE Kitchen, drinks provided by Healthy Sips, and additional snacks throughout the night. The evening culminates in an unforgettable after-party with surprises for top finishers.
The Redline 1800 features two main challenges: a .80KM closed-loop relay race where teams aim to complete as many laps as possible within 30 minutes, and an all-out 1 mile time trial. Both events are lit up by LED lighting and energized with pulsating music, designed to test the limits of runners.
The competition is structured in brackets for fair play, ensuring that each team has a chance at glory. Teams must include one or more female or non-binary members to promote inclusivity. The night progresses from warm-up sessions and race briefings through to intense racing action and finally, an exhilarating championship round where the fastest teams claim victory.
With partners like ON, New Balance, Brooks, ASICS, and Saucony supporting this special event, runners are in for a memorable experience that combines fitness with fun.
