The Santa Fun Run and Walk

Dress as Santa, Log 2-Miles, and Enjoy a Morning of Holiday Cheer!

Join us Sunday, Dec. 12th,  2026, at 9am in the Railyard for our annual Santa Run!

The Santa Run will be a 2-mile fun run/walk (not a race!) where everyone–young and old–will hit the street dressed as Santa Claus. Afterward, all are welcome to get pictures with Santa, sip on hot cocoa, and enjoy a morning of festive fun.

Each participant will get a Santa suit to run in, an entry into the Winter Market, a cup of hot cocoa and a meet and greet with Santa after the run! 

Those of all ages, paces, and fitness levels are warmly welcome to participate. Note that the Santa Run is an untimed fun run, not a race!

Included with Registration:

• 1 Santa suit

  • Please note that there are a limited number of Santa Suits. If we run out, please plan to run in your own Santa suit or your most festive holiday apparel!
  • One size fits most; choose Adult or Child when registering.

There will be two options for Santa costumes this year, Child and Adult:

Child:

Event Schedule

Packet Pickup

Friday, Dec. 11 from 10am-5pm at Fleet Feet Lincoln
Saturday, Dec. 12 from 8am-8:45am in the Railyard

Saturday, Dec. 12th:

• 8am - Day-of Santa suit pickup opens
• 9am - Fun run/walk begins
• 9:30am - Get pictures with Santa, hot cocoa, and more holiday surprises!

Day-Of Registration:

8am-8:45am

You can register on the day of the event, but you will not be guaranteed a Santa suit. If we run out of Santa suits, feel free to run in your own Santa costume or your most festive holiday apparel!

Route

The Santa Run will be 2 miles and will start in the Railyard. It will take participants on the streets and trails around downtown, through Haymarket Park and will end at the start of the Winter Market! 

Parking

Free parking is available in any of the parking garages in downtown Lincoln. Please avoid parking directly in front of businesses that are open the morning of the Santa Run.
