Acorn Bank 10k

For the sixth consecutive year, Eden Runners invites runners to experience the scenic beauty of Acorn Bank National Trust Property through its annual 10k race. Set against the backdrop of lush grounds and picturesque countryside lanes, this undulating course offers a challenge suitable for all levels of fitness.
The route itself is an accurately measured 10km path that winds along country roads and tarmac footpaths, providing runners with stunning views and varied terrain to enjoy as they push themselves through the race. Participants can collect their numbers starting at 8:30 AM in preparation for a prompt start time of 10 AM.
Before setting off on this scenic journey, all competitors are required to attend a safety briefing held within Acorn Bank’s grounds to ensure everyone's well-being throughout the event.
Post-race refreshments include a generous slice of Traybakes flapjack, with both vegan and traditional options available for runners looking to refuel after their efforts.
In addition to the overall male and female winners receiving prizes, there are several other categories up for grabs: first place in each age group (U23, V40, V50, V60, and V70) along with awards given to the top club or team of three members.
To ensure a safe race environment, participants must adhere strictly to UKA regulations regarding headphones; only bone-conducting devices that sit in front of the ears are permitted during the event.
Entry fees include a £2 donation towards conservation efforts at Acorn Bank, supporting its ongoing preservation for future generations. Parking is available on-site with a suggested donation of £5 per vehicle which also grants entry to explore the estate’s gardens and historic house throughout the day.
All runners must be 15 years or older by race day, and dogs are not allowed to participate alongside their human companions due to safety regulations.
