The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest

Experience the thrill of running through Mendon Ponds Park during the Mighty Mosquito Trail Race & Relay on July 24, 2027. This unique race weekend offers an array of challenging distances and options for solo runners and relay teams alike. The centerpiece is the grueling MIGHTY MOSQUITO 100-MILER, with a 34-hour cutoff that challenges ultrarunners to traverse two 10-mile loops in a figure-8 pattern before completing one final mile.
For those looking for shorter distances, there's the DAYTIME MINI-MOSQUITO 50K and NIGHT TIME MYSTICAL MOSQUITO 50K. The Mini Mosquito starts at dawn with runners tackling two laps of varying terrain, while the Mystical Mosquito takes place under starlit skies starting at 9 PM on Saturday night.
Relay teams can choose between a full marathon relay covering nine loops (6-person team) or a new shorter option for up to three people completing three laps. Both relay formats allow teammates to relax and enjoy campfires and festivities at the start/finish line while one runner is out on course.
All proceeds from this event benefit The Blue Foundation, supporting local conservation efforts in Canandaigua, NY. Participants will find aid stations along the routes with volunteers providing essential support throughout the challenging weekend. Don't miss your chance to celebrate summer running amidst Mendon Ponds' scenic trails and natural beauty!
