The Mighty Fitz 5K & 10K

Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, for the 12th Annual Mighty Fitz Race in Lewiston, New York. Celebrating the enduring legacy of the Edmund Fitzgerald, this year's race honors both its tragic history and ongoing cultural impact with a choice between a scenic USATF-certified 5K or an exciting new 10K course.
The event kicks off at 2 PM from the lively Brickyard Pub & Restaurant on Center Street. Participants will experience challenging terrain that includes a steep climb up Artpark Hill, culminating in a thrilling finish line back where it all began. Water stations are strategically placed to ensure runners stay hydrated throughout their run.
Registration remains open until race day and can be completed online or by mail-in registration with the appropriate waivers submitted. Early registrants will receive an official Mighty Fitz t-shirt; limited quantities of retro shirts will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis for those registering later.
Following the race at Brickyard Brewing Company, participants are invited to enjoy live music from Dave Thurman & Co., delicious food, and a well-deserved awards ceremony. Handcrafted trophies await the top male and female finishers in both distances, while age group winners will receive special gifts commemorating their achievement.
Pricing for the event is as follows: $35 for the 5K race (with an increase to $40 on day-of registration) and $40 for the 10K option ($45 at the door). For those who prefer a traditional mail-in entry, all necessary forms are available online.
Participants can also look forward to receiving custom finisher certificates via email after crossing the finish line. Real-time results will be displayed on large screens throughout the venue and updated continuously as runners complete their courses.
