The Long Run · Fall Back

The Long Run offers runners an unforgettable fall adventure through Jacobsburg State Park on November 7, 2027. Participants can choose between three events: a scenic 5-mile loop, a challenging 3-hour endurance run, or the grueling 6-hour marathon. The course features a mix of single-track trails and fast gravel paths with approximately 450 feet of elevation change. Runners will experience breathtaking fall foliage as they navigate this picturesque route.
The Fall Back event challenges runners to tackle the original loop in reverse direction, testing their navigation skills on an unfamiliar path. Whether you're aiming for speed or endurance, The Long Run is designed to accommodate all levels with its flexible format. For those participating in the 3-hour and 6-hour events, be prepared to manage your own hydration and nutrition needs; coolers will be available at aid stations for refilling water bottles.
Registration check-in times vary depending on the event: from 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM for the 6-hour race and anytime before 10:00 AM for both the 5-mile and 3-hour races. All finishers receive a commemorative pin, while top male, female, and non-binary runners in each category earn sustainable medals.
This event is not only competitive but also inclusive, welcoming hikers and walkers to join in the festivities. The park's serene setting provides an ideal backdrop for this unique endurance challenge, making it a must-attend for anyone seeking a memorable fall running experience.
