“The Great Locomotive Chase 5K” Presented by The City of Adairsville!  

Saturday morning – April 11, 2026  – 8:00 AM Race Start!  Enjoy this one-of-a-kind route that winds through and around lovely downtown Adairsville, GA and Follows the Tracks where  the actual Chase took place!!!  The 5K start and finish are adjacent to the historic Downtown Adairsville Train Depot, Where the Great Locomotive Chase passed through on April 12th, 1862!!  164 Years ago! Proceeds once again go to benefit "Cancer Navigators" (info here:  https://cancernavigatorsga.org/)

Pre-Registration Packet Pick-Up: Friday, April  10th, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the Adairsville City Hall office located at 116 Public Square, Adairsville, GA 30103

Race Day Schedule of Events:
*6:45 AM Race Day Registration Opens
*7:45 AM Race Day Registration Closes
*7:55 Push-Assist Athlete Race Start Time
*8:00 AM 5K Start time
*9:15 AM Awards Ceremony 

AWARDS:
5K Overall: Awards will be given to the Top Three (3) Overall M&F finishers, as well as the Top Master M&F.

5K Age Groups: Awards will be given to the Top Three (3) male/female finishers in each of the following age groups: 10&Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & Over.
