The Fools Run - 5th Annual

THE 5TH ANNUAL FOOL’S RUN IS BACK — AND WE’RE GOING BIGGER THAN EVER!
Join us Saturday, April 3, 2027, at Margaritaville Beach Resort on South Padre Island for the 5th Annual Fool’s Run 5K, 10K & Kids 1 Mile!

We’re celebrating FIVE YEARS of running, walking, laughing, and bringing our community together — and this year’s Fool’s Run is going to be our biggest and best event yet!

🏖️ RUN THE BEACH
This isn’t your typical road race!

All three events will start and finish directly on the sand behind Margaritaville Beach Resort. Run or walk along beautiful South Padre Island as the sun comes up over the Gulf.

⏱️ CHIP-TIMED 10K
Our 10K will be professionally chip timed, with official results available after the race.

1st-place awards will be presented in each designated age group.

🏃 CHIP-TIMED 5K FUN RUN
The 5K is strictly a FUN RUN, meaning there will be no overall placement or age-group awards.

However, the race will still be professionally chip timed, so you can track your official time and see where you finished in the results!

🏃‍♂️ KIDS 1 MILE — AGES 10 & UNDER
The little fools get to join the fun too!

Our Kids 1 Mile is open to children ages 10 and under. Kids will take on their own 1-mile beach course and cross the official Fool’s Run finish line!

🏅 EVERY PARTICIPANT EARNS A FINISHER MEDAL!
Every registered participant in the 10K, 5K, and Kids 1 Mile will receive a Fool’s Run finisher medal after crossing the finish line.

🤡 FOOLISH COSTUME CONTEST — WITH A PRIZE!
In honor of April Fool’s Day, we want to see your most ridiculous, creative, and FOOLISH costumes!

Dress up, show out, and participate in our annual Fool’s Run Costume Contest.

A prize will be awarded to the BEST COSTUME!

So get creative — the crazier, funnier, and more foolish, the better!

🎀 RUN FOR A CAUSE
A portion of proceeds from this year’s Fool’s Run will benefit Walk for Women, a local nonprofit supporting women battling breast cancer throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Every registration helps us give back to an organization making a difference right here in our community.

👕 STRICT T-SHIRT GUARANTEE DEADLINE: SATURDAY, MARCH 13
You must register by March 13 to be guaranteed an official Fool’s Run race T-shirt.

Registering after March 13?

You may still receive a race shirt if extras are available, but shirts and sizes are NOT guaranteed after the deadline and will be available only while supplies last.

If you want to make sure you get your Fool’s Run shirt, REGISTER BY MARCH 13!

🌧️ RAIN OR SHINE
The Fool’s Run will take place rain or shine.

All registrations are final, and absolutely no refunds will be issued.

Whether you’re racing the 10K, having fun in the 5K, bringing the kids for their mile, walking with friends, chasing a personal goal, or simply coming out for a beautiful morning on South Padre Island —

EVERYONE IS WELCOME.
