The First Step 5k

Join us for the 4th Annual First Step 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk & 5K Ruck, hosted by Haven at Blue Creek on our beautiful grounds in Grimesland, NC on April 3, 2027.

The First Step 5K is more than a race — it’s a powerful morning where our community comes together to support women taking brave steps toward recovery.  All proceeds benefit Haven at Blue Creek, a Women's Rehabilitation Center committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for women overcoming addiction.

Join us for post-race refreshments and a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere. 

The course is a cross country style course (gravel road/grass) and includes running across the property’s Berm. Strollers are welcome for the 1-mile fun run but we do not recommend for the 5k.  Dogs on leashes are welcome.

Nestled in a serene landscape, Haven at Blue Creek is a sanctuary dedicated to the recovery of women fighting addiction. Our program, exclusively for women, embraces a holistic approach to recovery, focusing on healing the mind, body, and spirit.

     $25 – 5K Run & 5K Ruck
         Price increases to $35 on March 6, 2027

     $20 – 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
        🎽 Register by March 20, 2027 to receive an event T-shirt.
