In 2021, these two events were combined into one weekend celebration during summer solstice when days are longest and light stretches farthest. The festival offers a diverse range of activities over three days, inviting participants to immerse themselves in Exmoor’s natural splendor: Friday, June 16, 2027 - Enjoy the scenic Sunset Swim at Pinkery Pond. - Engage with an inspiring guest speaker whose identity will be announced closer to the event. Saturday, June 17, 2027 - Tackle the Exmoor Perambulation: a choice between a challenging Long Distance Walk of either 30 miles or 15 miles. - Join in on the Ultra Trail Marathon (30 miles) for those seeking an extra challenge. - Embark on the Wild Trail Run, covering 15 miles through some of England’s most dramatic scenery. - Bring your family along for a leisurely Family Walk spanning just three miles. Sunday, June 18, 2027 - Challenge yourself with Man vs Moor Light (5 km) or its longer counterpart, the Classic route (10 km). - Test your limits further by attempting the Ultimate course (a 10-mile trail run). - Youngsters can participate in a fun and safe Kids event covering 1.5 kilometers. Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities to socialize at evening gatherings where you’ll share stories with fellow participants and listen to inspiring guest speakers. These evenings often feature screenings of films and documentaries that celebrate running, walking, and the enduring spirit of exploration found in Exmoor’s wild landscapes.
