Are you ready for an unparalleled test of resilience and navigation? Welcome to The Drop – the UK’s most thrilling race that challenges your wits and determination like never before! The event offers two distances: 15 miles or 10 miles. Both routes are designed to push participants beyond their limits, requiring them to find their way back to the starting point from an undisclosed drop-off location. Registration involves handing over all electronic devices, watches, navigational aids, and receiving a race number along with an emergency bag. Once aboard the bus, you’ll don a blackout blindfold (or an alternative if needed) as you’re driven to your secret start point. From there, it’s up to you – no maps, GPS, or help of any kind will be provided. The challenge begins when you step off the bus and onto uncharted terrain. You must rely solely on your sense of direction and resourcefulness to navigate back to the event centre as quickly as possible. The distances are measured in a straight line (as the crow flies), but the actual route may extend beyond that, adding an extra layer of challenge. Participants will receive live GPS tracking as an optional feature for safety purposes. This allows friends and family to follow your progress online using login details sent via email before race day. Trackers must be returned at the end of the event; failure to do so incurs a £175 replacement fee. The Drop is not just about running – it’s about pushing yourself mentally as well as physically in an environment that strips away all familiar aids and forces you to rely on your instincts. Whether you choose 10 miles or 15, The Drop will test the limits of what you believe possible. Registration for this unique experience opens soon. Prepare to embark on a journey where every step is a challenge, and every turn brings new surprises. Are you ready to take on The Drop?

About Cheltenham
Learn more about the host city, Cheltenham.
Cheltenham is an historic spa town in England, which started its development in the early 1700s with the discovery of healing waters. It became very popular after the visit of King George III in 1788, and developed further. You cannot take the waters in Cheltenham, but you can visit the Pump Room to get a feeling for the ambience.
