The Croy 10k

The Croy 10k, scheduled for Sunday, June 6th, 2027 at 9:30am, offers runners an exhilarating journey through scenic countryside roads. This Scottish Athletics-approved race begins and ends at the charming Croy Village Hall in IV2 5PG, with participants following a fast-paced route that leads out towards Clephanton before descending to Loch Flemington and returning into Croy Village.
The course features a water station at the halfway mark (5k) and is enhanced by lively music along the way. Runners will enjoy picturesque views of rolling hills and tranquil loch waters, making this race both visually stunning and challenging.
Registration takes place from 7:30am to 9:00am on race day at Croy Village Hall for chip-timed entries with an option for a bespoke medal upon completion. Parking is managed due to limited space; runners are advised to car share or park in the designated area near B9006, using what3words coordinates ///stall.lecturing.triangles.
The race has a strict 2-hour cut-off time and requires that participants be at least 16 years old on race day. Bone conducting headphones must be used for safety reasons, and no support will be available after the 2-hour mark as marshals are withdrawn from the course.
For those expecting longer finishing times (over 1 hour 10 minutes), an early start wave begins at 9:15am to ensure they receive full race-day support. Awards are given based on gun time, and there will be prizes for top male and female finishers as well as age category winners.
Post-race refreshments include free cake from Pure Bakery and basic amenities in the village hall where runners can leave their bags securely before the event. For more information or to enter online by June 1st at 9am, visit Moray-Marathon.co.uk.
Participants are encouraged to check their final entry emails for specific parking instructions three days prior to race day.
